Welcome to the Fox Family Blog!

A few years ago I started my blogging journey and I’ve bounced back and forth between in. I always wanted to write for others but never did it for myself. So this time around I am doing it for myself. I have scrapped most of my blog posts that no longer feel like they belong to me. I left some but will be continuing to share things that mean the most to me. Here are a few topics we plan to share with you. We hope you enjoy.

Our Fitness Journey {both physical and mental fitness}

One thing that I am passionate about is getting healthy. I feel like this has been an ongoing battle that has never gotten me anywhere, but I’ve realized that is not the case! I have a lot of health issues that were passed down via genetics and because of that, it has been an uphill battle finding my health again. Through my journey, I have found a ton of other women with the same health issues I have and I know I can help them in their health journey as well! Our fitness journey doesn’t just cover physical, it also holds mental fitness high on our priorities. Unless your mind is strong, you will not be able to succeed in the physical aspects of life and vice versa.

Erick and I are both very busy. We have day jobs, and side businesses as well as 3 kids at home so we have full plates. We know. a lot of people have the same struggles so we will be sharing how we manage it all!


Women Empowerment and Self Care

I used to be a chapter leader for a woman’s networking group. It was a life-changing experience. It brought me so close to so many amazing women and taught me how important it was to support each other both in personal and business lives. I learned that a lot of women lack self-confidence and it has become one of my missions to help with empowerment.

One other thing I learned was I was HORRIBLE at self-care. I spent the majority of my time taking care of everyone around me and not myself. I have learned some great ways to manage my time to allow myself some time to myself and learned how to help my mental sanity.


Recipes!

We all LOVE recipes right? Well, one of Erick’s specialties is making the best food. Not kidding, he is amazing. Most of his recipes are full of butter and heavy cream though so I’ve been giving him challenges to make his favorite foods but in a recipe that I can eat (and of course would be healthier for him as well). So far, he has done a great job! We will be sharing both the carb, fat-filled, goodness that the normal recipe is and also the partner version, a more healthy version that is equally as good..


Handmade Goodies

I have been sewing since I was in elementary school, crocheting since High School, and doing all sorts of crafts since then. I love everything handmade. Most of my presents are handmade and this allows me to make very personal gifts. I’ll be sharing everything I know!

Not all of these blog posts will work for everyone since not everyone wants to sew, but other craft projects will be perfect for everyone!


Raising Strong Kids

Something I am very passionate about is raising strong kids. This doesn’t just mean physical strength but that is part of it. I’m talking Mind, Body, and Soul. How to raise confident kids. How to raise physically strong kids. How to raise mentally strong kids. This may sound easy, but in the year 2020 we have learned that kids are not as strong as we thought. We need to make sure they get plenty of physical activity and do what they need to for self care, just as adults need. We will be sharing the techniques that we have used for our kids!


We are very excited for this adventure, and we are glad that you are along for the ride!
